Tasty Tidbits
Brief
For this project, we’re looking to highlight the four main ingredients from various recipes on our social media. We’d love to showcase these ingredients individually and as an arrangement through an Instagram carousel post.

Candy Cart - 1
Brief
Our app is (finally!) launching in a month, and we want to build the hype with a :20-:30 pre-roll ad. And we need you to help us make it!
Candy Cart - 2
Brief
Our app is (finally!) launching in a month, and we want to build the hype with a :20-:30 pre-roll ad. And we need you to help us make it!
Me & You
Brief
Me & You is an established industry news site focusing on the freelance lifestyle. We’re currently working on a series of articles featuring desk setups from a variety of creatives. Each creative involved is required to illustrate their own desk. Down the line, we also plan on animating each desk feature as a looping GIF.
Grandma's Kitchen
Brief
We could think of no better way to release the news than through a 15 second animation. Our goal is to express the sense of extreme satisfaction to our viewers - that feeling you get when you just had the best meal of your life.
Globe Trotter
Brief
We love your graphic style and are especially interested in developing this game in an isometric perspective. Each puzzle level of the game will involve a simplified, geometric version of a city. Potential cities for you to illustrate are: Moscow, Russia; Kyoto, Japan; Istanbul, Turkey; Venice, Italy; or Las Vegas, NV, USA. It should involve some recognizable landmarks, so the building shapes & sizes shouldn't be overly stylized. But, it should be infused with some futuristic elements - perhaps that involves holograms or flying vehicles.
Candy Cart - 3
Brief
Rethink the frames using perspective.
Normal Coffee - 1
Brief
We are The New Agency - and we want to collaborate with your team on a pitch! This pitch is for an upcoming ad campaign for a new boutique coffee and donut shop called Normal Coffee.

We’re looking for 3 styleframes that feature a male character grabbing a pipin’ hot cup of coffee and a delicious donut. Due to the timeline and budget, this character should be simple with no facial expressions. It’s more about the product than the person, but we still want to include that human interaction.
Normal Coffee - 2
Brief
1. We want to stay true to our mission to represent the diversity of our customer base. Could we change the character to an African American female?
2. We’ve found room in the budget for a character animator and are looking to express more emotion and life in the protagonist. This could be added through the character posing or her facial expression.
3. Let’s add an extra frame before the lockup, highlighting our protagonist doing something active with their newfound energy. This could be biking, walking a dog, jogging, etc. We’ll leave it up to
you!
4. (Optional) If you have time, we’d be interested in exploring adding character to the coffee or donut. Nothing too crazy - maybe a subtle wink or smile.
Digital Binge
Brief
This time, we’re looking for you to create some illustrations for a special report on putting limits on binge watching shows. We had another artist create some illustrations already that we’ll be using for web & print.

In addition to our usual demographic, we’re also looking to engage a new younger demographic that typically doesn’t view content through more traditional channels. To reach the 13-24 year old market we’re looking to expand to “in-the-moment” video platforms similar to Snapchat and Instagram TV.
Far Out Games
Brief
The 60th Annivesary of our original playing card set is happening this year! A new Limited Edition Retro version of the set is currently in production and scheduled to be in stores soon.

We’d love to work with you to create an animated advertisement to spread the word. On Page 4 of this deck you’ll find that we’ve already made some live action storyboards - but they feel too rigid and literal for the medium of animation. We want to make the concept more lively and playful.

The spot should have a truly nostalgic 60s feel and should really capture the time of our original playing card set - with a modern twist. We want today’s avid card players to be pulled in and excited to buy this new set.
So many thanks to Sarah Beth Morgan and the whole SOM team, specially my amazing TA Yukari Schrickel. I loved every minute of this course and can't wait to challenge myself again in one of the SOM courses. Chears!
